We are a dedicated group of people of all ages and abilities in North Carolina. By holding a Youth Leadership Forum in our state's capital, we promote independence, peer relations, and advocacy among today's generation.

With the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990, the current generation's opportunity for advancement is higher than it ever has been before. We seek to take full advantage of the blossoming movement to educate ourselves and others about disability history, the Independent Living Movement, important lawmakers, and other revolutionaries.

 

Youth LEAD NC, a nonprofit started by NCYLF alumni, has hosted the 2020-2022 NCYLF virtually and is excited to host the 2024 NC YLF in person for the 2nd time, July 20-24, 2024 at NC State University in Raleigh.
